Frankly, 2 years field engineering experience + 1 MBA degree is weaker than 2 years field engineering experience + reputed1 MSc degree of petroleum engineering in Global E& industry. However, if you want to enter a global oil service company, it may be helpful. Furthermore, the management position in oil company always need more years field engineering experience in oil company than degree. At least, you need to practice more big projects (team leader or senior engineer) than just do the data analysis. Even doing the data analysis, you need to understand the big version and value of your data in company asset management. BTW, E& industry is one of traditional industries which is much more different from IT or Finance. Definitely, experience more in the industry is benefit in the long-term career planning. |
