为什么答案是e,而不是b呢~~

答案是a,那d选项是不是错在big 和long重复?~thanks

1) B里的economical错,它的意思是节约的.anyway在我做到的题目里说道经济这个词很少对过.答案应该是D吧.

2)D有重复的原因.

第一题，由and平行结构踢掉a&d，由主句应用一般虚拟语气，踢掉b，剩下b&e，因为b中的they指代有问题，所以最后只剩下e。
第二题，由于grow&be指代的主语有错误，所以排除b&c，grow as big as 30 feet long 不符合语法习惯应改为grow as long as 30 feet，踢掉d，再由于and it is的it可以删除，直接用and is会更加简洁。故选a

I think you are pretty wrong when explaining the first question. "第一题，由and平行结构踢掉a&d，" Have you noted what is "economical determinants"? it should be "economic determinants" for sure. Welcome to comment.

1、个人认为E好一些，than now应该是和than usual、than expected一样，习惯用法，中间不加they do，would有虚拟的意思，B的do的指代可能也有问题

2、这题有争议，个人倾向于A，D的as big as 30 feet long似乎有逻辑问题，big和long不是同一概念

than now应该是和than usual、than expected不一样， 不能这么推理的。是习惯就是，不是就不是。同意选d economical 我也是每见必错，意思和economic 差太多。
