这题我在BD中犹豫好久~最后选的是B~
我认为因为大象也对它们不吃的庄稼产生破坏~所以它们就对种植的庄稼产生破坏~
D中说大象更喜欢吃种植的庄稼~可是如果这样的话~大象一开始也对种植的庄稼产生破坏了~可是题目中不是说因为种植的庄稼占了野生的~大象才去吃种植的嘛？

LS 这个牵涉到对raiding的理解上

the raiding可以看出是对前文的一个行动的描述，前文中说到大象吃crop

那么这个raiding理解为吃crop 好于理解为单纯的破坏crop

所以就能马上理解是D更好了

That means they were originally not dependent on Cultivated land.

They turn to cultivated land only when Natural vegetation doesnt suffice.

Now when they are "guaranteed sufficient natural vegetation"
the only reason they can turn to cultivated land is they cannot differenciate between "sanctuaries " and " cultivated land."

As according to the stimulus both( "sanctuaries " and " cultivated land)are "in Africa and Asia where much of the natural vegetation on which elephants have historically depended is destroyed.
