主语不可以用them指代，而应该用they指代
them是指代宾语的~

我理解：
由于插入语可以直接无视，注意：要连同逗号一起拿掉。原句即可简化为：
（Quasars some believe them） to be the cores of galaxies in an early stage of
development.
重点在于括弧内，结合OG解释就变成：
如果加了them,原句就ungrammatical了，因为Quasars 和some 都成为独立的主语，而一山不容二虎，两主语ungrammatical.
反观如果去掉them,原句便成为：
Quasars some believe to be the cores of galaxies in an early stage of
development.
正常语序可以修正为：
Some believe Quasars to be the cores of galaxies in an early stage of
development.
去掉Them后此时Quasars可作为believe的Object，如此解决了双主语的问题
