答案是A 我选了D 原因是看ABCE都不对~~
A里的it按照语法规则不是应该指代south pacific吗？是不是有这样的规则，n1 of n2 的结构中，代词优先指代n2？？

it指代constellation of small islands啊。代词指代一看逻辑，二看语法，两者都不可少。而且主语位置的代词，略微有优先指代对位句主语的倾向。

it在这儿指代the vast constellation of small islands。。。代词有优先指代主句的主语倾向，但是更要看联系所处环境看意思。。。
而n1 +介词+n2结构一般情况下n1是真正的主语，在这个句子里是constellation，何况south pacific在这儿只是用来修饰n2的定语从句里面的宾语。。。太不够格了
另外D：although看起来是想引导一个让步状语从句，意思上也出现了转折，但整个句子只有一套SVO，另外having与修饰成分用逗号隔开了，由于明显是在修饰主语constellation，因此属于伴随状语，而have a population...与谓语is home to没有很强的同时发生的意思。。所以D是错误的
