问一下A选项为什么不对？ outnumbering 修饰 letter不可以的吗？  白勇语法上说 分词可以就近修饰前面的N也可以修饰主语的  E选项中的which 不是直接指代了dickinson吗？按照赵丽课上的说法which在gmat中只能指代前面一个单词， 有没有NN能帮我解释下现在/过去分词在句首和他们在句尾的修饰情况呢？、 我对这个感到比较混乱

C选项为什么对呢？ 主语是 schistosomiasis ，也是造成 economic drain 的原因啊 为什么必然用so that  OG 解释 so as x to y 是错的  为什么呢？

还有一个有点弱的问题，就是关于so的指代用法， 有没有NN能总结一下？

A选项outnumbering是可以修饰letter的，但是句子的修饰语离letter太远了，应该选一个最优选项
E选项其实有点讲究，LZ注意一个比较好的总结，核心名词+介词的时候，which或者that是可以跳跃介词修饰名词的

而且楼主要了解句子想要表达的意思，主要意思是说信的件数的比较，而不是强调谁给谁写信，所以A选项上outnumbering作为修饰成分改变了句子的重心

letters,which.....,outnumber.....
其实which只是做一个修饰 或者 说是补充说明 并不影响主体：letters outnumber....  要是outnumbering的话 没有谓语了就。

我是这么理解的。

楼上理解有偏差，A是没有语法错误的，只是改变了句子重心而已

26提A选项OG的意思是outnumbering 修饰什么已经不清楚了，因

为离要修饰的东西太远了

我觉得是因为句子要表达的意思是信件非常多，而不是说从哪段时间

到哪段时间，所以谓语动词应该是outnumber才对
另外，如果用Outnumbering，跟之前的beginning,ending又有是否要

组成并列修饰的嫌疑，但是显然outnumbering前面没有用and，那就

表示不是并列修饰的。
