俺的理解：
A里面 as well as emitting..., 和burn不是平行的动作。emit不是modify 'engines'. rather, 'emit' 是modify 'burn.....'.
所以这两个V不是//关系。 far less....and far fewer ...是里面的一对平行。
B.D.E. gasses  having been... 错，
C：CO2 不能用FEWER.

可是可是~~as well as 前后平行肿么办啊。。
有as well as 感觉emitting用来modify “burn”就不大对呀~~

我也觉得不大爽的，虽然通过排除法得到A，但是as well as确实不舒服。感觉省略了很多内容。类似于 'as well as the burning process emitting far less...' 的意思。
个人认为至少engines本身是不emit co2, 而是engine burning fuel才会emit gases..
由于本人的表达能力非常差（AWA看来悬了）所以
请NN们跳出来解释解释？
