知道答案是D。可是看不懂原文中的一句话（红字的意思），
Duverger's research findings were that women voted somewhat less frequently than men ( the difference narrowing the longer women had the vote)and were slightly more conservative.
所以不知道是什么意思。。

改写成，the longer women had the vote, the narrower the difference.

女性参与投票的时期越长，和男性的差距（具体指frequently这个差距）就越小。

我觉得这句话的意思应该是：妇女拥有选举权的时间越长，这种frequency上的差距就会越小. 这句话应该是后半部分倒装，可以看成是the difference (was) narrowing (when) women had the longer vote. 所以反之，当95题问哪个国家男女投票比率差距最大的时间，答案应该是E，在女人拥有选举权最短的国家。
