计划campus visit, 学校都什么时候放假

今年申请失利，计划再战

打算5月campus visit, 不知道会不会学校忙于期末不接待visit呢？有知情的同学指点一二吧，不胜感激。

另外，如果秋季敢在第一轮deadline之前，大概8月底去，这个时候学校一般会接待吗？

i prefer to visit the campus on Aug.

first of all, most of school will finish their spring semester on the

early May, therefore, you may lose the chance to sit on the class,

which is an important part to test whether you have the chemistry with

the school.

Otherwise, your visiting on Aug may get more information about the

2011fall profile or other admission stuff.

Thank you, Jarlin. You are right! According to information from

some MBA office, they will shut down campus visit during summer

vacation, May seems not a good time. But candidates are welcome to

visit only few weeks after the Orientation, say mid or late September,

which is quite a tight schedual for me to catch up the early round in

early Oct.

How would you think about that I hand up my application first, and

then fly to the U.S. in mid Sep. for visit? Thank you again~

我是这么觉得的，essay的故事其实大同小异，基本上准备好几个方面的，然后替换下侧重点，基本就可以通用了。因此在GT考完的情况下，essay可以先准备起来。来美国做校园访问的话，放在9月中旬也OK，这样可以帮助你选校。我是全部申请完后，机缘巧合去逛了好几个学校，然后就发现了其中有所和我风格其实不符，所以访问能帮助你了解下学校的情况，做一个最后的筛选。与其5月的时候撒网式的去看，不如在选校完成第一阶段后，最后把初选的学校去看一遍，这样最后决定申请哪几所。
上课部分不能错过，而且最好能听下口碑最好的几门课，我觉得那个收获非常大。特别是有学生做presentation的时候，可以大概感觉下那里学生的水平和风格，对自己定位也是一件不错的事情。
然后根据这次的收获，再将essay进行针对性的修改，然后赶在10月初提交R1。

我之所以不推荐5月的原因就是，大家5月中旬基本都放假，所以5月初很可能课已经上完了，就剩下考试了，这样就不能听课，这个就会有损失。既然都花了飞机票钱了，总是想收益最大化嘛。

这个就是我的想法，希望我表达清楚了。嘿嘿

info session很重要 我很后悔当时没有准备这块。。。。。导致网申有些学校
