1，OG上解释说B的basing it on 中，it 指代不明， 我不明白它为什么指代不清；
2，D中，using accounts of 是什么含义哦，看起来好awkward额 ，

我刚也在这道题上卡住了，答案应该是E
B中的it是指代不明，它有可能指后面的主语scholars，也有可能指宾语，所以不对
E中，Using作为动名词出现，accouts of various ancient writers是一堆的，用来修饰

后面的scholars

对于这道题我也有些不明白，为什么不能用A的Based on来修饰scholars，难道说只能用

动名词么，但是base这个是被动词，也用不了basing啊，请大虾们不吝赐教

但是B答案中中 it 怎么可以指代复数的 scholars 呢？我感觉它只能指代a sketchy picture 额，还是不知道OG的指代不明之说的由来....

1，OG上解释说B的basing it on 中，it 指代不明， 我不明白它为什么指代不清；
it没有指代对象。句子意思是：基于很多古代作家的描述，学者画出了一幅略图.....
A的意思是学者基于描述而产生，语义上不通。
应该是略图基于描述而产生。所以B中的it本应该指代a sketchy picture，但此处从语法上来讲it没有指代对象。
it这种代词，一般是指代上文出现过的东西，不可能指代的对象都还没有出现，代词it就先出现了。B选项it前面没有什么名词。比如：
正确：i have an apple，and i eat it.
错误：i have it，and i eat the apple.

对最合理，但是感觉意思上it指代 paint  sketchy picture 的 idea或者构思等等更合

理。 同时从楼主提到的it如果往后指代单数名词， 也可以指代 an all-female cult 或

者更后面的a goddess. 不能确定.
