请问c中的that 如何是错的？

首先是a smaller就不对~~a commitment to work and a career是指对工作和事业的执着，用smaller不合适~~而且用than that of 的话前面那个that 指代的是什么不明确，前面没有用a commitment to work and a career of young people这样的结构，对应不上吧~~~个人见解~~仅供参考

这题考的是一个用法：

v+ less of/more of + n. than..., 表示在更小程度上/更大程度上做某事，less of/more of是用来修饰动词的

我想问一下为什么补出的助动词是had呢，我觉得应该是did啊

LS上的问题在做题时还真的没想到耶。。。
这一题的思路从用之前说道的v+less、more of +n  在加上than
得到选D

在除去that指代会引起歧义的选项后 就只有DE
E中的lessening和the commitment 感觉都有错
lessening是名词 减轻、减少  这样会使后面的that从句产生lessening的歧义

在比较题中是有看到用have 和had在前后比较的
这里的have和had应该都是实义动词
为什么不用did   期待nn解答～～～

同smaller不对，而且这里如果用that逻辑也不通，that如果指代只能指代commitment，但是parents和grandparents的commitment不是相同的，所以应该至少用those不用that

我也纠结这个，现在来看，其他确实是有硬伤，但是我看prep笔记里面说had是助动词我万分不能理解，白勇语法讲补出助动词的话也应该是did，只能看做选最优了~
