Full-time and Part-time Applicants are required to complete both essays A and B in separate uploaded documents. The suggested length is 2 double-spaced pages per essay. Please use a standard (i.e. Times New Roman or Arial), 12-point font in your uploaded documents.
Mathematics Certificate Program applicants need to submit only a statement of career and academic goals. Please do so in Essay C and leave Essays A and B blank.
Essays must be submitted with your online application. You are discouraged from sending hardcopy essays by mail.

这个就没什么可说的了，ＬＺ要是这些方面不是比较出众的话，可能都不是不好写的问题，即使有机会，也会在学习过程中遇到很严重的挑战。话说，ＣＭＵ这个项目可能对数理能力要求很高。因此，专门用一个Ｅｓｓａｙ来了解申请人的这方面的“准备情况”。比如，一个经济系的学生可能有很好的这方面的学习经历和能力，这样就比较好展开了；而有些学科的同学可能就欠缺一些经历，那么就需要好好讲一讲是如何准备的，比如有意识地补足这个短板，参加一些额外的课程等等。总之，数理能力不强，要慎重。
话说，出国读Ｍａｓｔｅｒ不是一时兴起的选择，选择什么职业路径更不是一朝一夕的事情，那么为了自己的人生目标，每个人都要积极、全面、系统地进行准备，这里除了在考察申请人的准备情况，也可能要考察申请人的strategic thinking，呵呵。
