啥意思？

这道题好像就是考单词renaissance的含义。题型有些另类，估计就只能通过排除法来做了。

renaissance的意思是“复兴”。复兴就是恢复以往曾经有过的辉煌，为什么要说是恢复呢，所以之前的辉煌之后就是一段时间的低潮期。再看形容词modest，说明当前的状态还没到达之前的顶峰。

综上所述，曾经有过的辉煌对应的就是more common，而辉煌过后的低潮期对应的就是less common。
