请教 PREP里的数学题4-4

The residents of Town X participated in a survey to determine the number of hours per week each resident spent watching TV. The distribution of the results of the survey had a mean of 21 hours and a standard deviation of 6 hours. The number of hours that Pat, a resident of Town X, watched TV last week was between 1 and 2 standard deviation below the mean. Which of the following could be the number of hours that Pat watched TV last week?

这是个统计题，求置信区间的：  距离均值的距离在1-2倍的标准差，画个图就很容易明白的。

2倍标准差区间 均值-2*标准差~均值+2*标准差。 即在   21-2*6——21+2*6 之间  （9~33）
1倍标准差区间 均值-标准差~均值标准差。 即在   21-6——21+6 之间  （15~27）
然后题目中给了个条件是below median ，所以均值右边就不用考虑了，区间为  9~15  （抱歉，我不会贴图）

其实一开始的时候就不用考虑右边的，写出来让楼主明白一下，万一以后问 above median。。。

均值是21，它右边不取怎么是9~15呢
