SCHOOL COMMENTS
School Comments:
We comply with MBACSC standards in not reporting the number of on-campus recruiters, postings, or on-campus internship recruiters. The program continues the tradition of excellence that The College of William & Mary has maintained for over three hundred years. The business faculty is one of the best in the country and its revolutionary curriculum, which includes Career Acceleration Modules and the one-of-a-kind Executive Partners Program, delivers the best experiential program in the country

A weak career services department hinders the overall effectiveness of obtaining an MBA at this school.--NA

My advice to friends would be to shoot for the best MBA program you can get into. If your goal is to career switch or advance in a field, it can be very hard at W&M. It's a chicken/egg problem -- with such a small class size, not many recruiters come on campus. Take the GMAT over and over again to get in a better program where recruiters and opportunities are more plentiful. Finance

It is a very challenging program that requires not only stamina, but also strong intellectual curiosity. If someone wants a formative experience, choose W&M. If you want a "punch-card" MBA, you will not make it past the first semester. Entrepreneurship

The collegial nature of W&M made the experience truly unique. I'm on a first-name basis with everyone in the program, including faculty. The coursework is challenging and the atmosphere is outstanding. If you're looking for a boutique MBA, W&M is the place. Finance

The program moved me millions of miles past what I thought I could accomplish (and I have launched companies, turnarounds ... I know what working hard is like). I am grateful to have acquired a strong, quiet confidence of self. Entrepreneurship

Although the Mason School has some VERY unique and fantastic opportunities for students, especially considering the small size of the school, I believe that there are a number of logistical problems to be figured out in the next year or so before I would recommend someone else to enroll at the school.--Marketing

Small school: faculties are friendly and kind, closely work with students. Program is very practical such as guest speakers and field trips, as well as academic. Career Accelerated Module, Executive Partners etc. Location is nice: Close to D.C and NY, easier to make field trips. Town and Campus are beautiful and safe. --Finance

I would encourage everyone to attend the school with the "highest ranking" in their desired field of study, in which they can be accepted. While I believe my school has a very good program, I imagine it would have been even more beneficial to have attended a school where the recruiters "line up" at the door to hire MBA's for int ernships and jobs.--Consutling

The Mason School of Business is particularly appropriate for accomplished individuals who may not have a traditional business background. --Marketing
