这两道题都犯了同样的错误：指代不清。 你可能认为指代的很清楚，但是你必须从出题人的角度去想。（我从参考书上看的） 所以你就选指代最清楚的选项。

1.首先排除C,因为WERE
然后根据OBSERVE'S后面跟的形式排除B, D(DIFFERED ,WHICH DIFFERED)
在A和E当中，你认为哪个更加CONCISE呢？显而易见。
2.根据DEFINE...AS排除B,D
E中的HAVING 和REGISTERED时代不一致，而且逻辑含糊，排除
A C当中选A有2个理由：
A当中a gross weight of less than 8000 pounds可能修饰汽车也可能修饰INDIVIDUAL，含糊，
C当中ONE THAT...AND ONE THAT...整齐，而且a gross weight of less than 8000 pounds也不存在修饰含糊问题，所以选C。
