就像
it seems Tom has been there before.
You appear to have traveled a lot.

2：appear to do sth 是正确的idiom。

3：由于1，所以你不能使用appeared时态。同时，由于这件事情 原句子中equip, 第二个例句中的 travel，都是过去发生的事情，同时根据2， to do要用过去时态,即to have done。
