A，OG的解释是没有先行词，但是exhibit不就是吗？如果说exhibit执行activate这个动作将不同，可能更有道理。
更奇怪的是，E里面的which也是这么解释的，而不是说非限制性定语从句不能用which引导。

LZ的想法不錯, 因為exhibit不能activates the animated function of the piece.  OG的explanation的意思比較indirect.
"which不能作引限制從句"的說法是很common, 而且prep/OG上沒有任何一句用which引限制從句. 所以個人傾向"which不能作引限制從句"的說法.
可是還是要看GMAC說的算, OG10#12指出"which不能作引限制從句"的說法太絶對, 可是也沒說不對...

我的理解是，并不是exhibit activate,而是touch这个动作activate.
因此这是个并列句

encourages visitors to “touch” ..and activate  ....

嗬嗬，可能没说清楚

我的问题时，OG指出which没有先行词，但是我觉得exhibit从形式上看是先行词，为什么OG的解释不说成: which修饰exhibit不符合逻辑，而要说成，没有先行词。这个很奇怪。

我的理解：

1）which 前是exhibit不是which 的先行词，不指exhibit，所以就没有先行词
2）which 不能就近修饰exhibit ,因为意思不对。原文是指鼓励访问者去touch展品，通过touch

来激发（activate）展品的功能，用and连接表示“先后”的动作（这样的先后可以认为是同时，

因为touch了电脑自动激活展品功能，因此可以用and连接）
3）整句意思为鼓励访问者touch展品，鼓励他们（访问者）激活展品功能。

说说我的看法：
是encourages visitors to “touch” each exhibit这种行为activate,而不是前面这句话其中的某一个词本身activate,而which是不能指代一句话或一个短语的，只能指代一个词，所以这里说没有能被which指代的先行词

which 为什么不能指代前面整个句子？我原来学过一种非限定性定语从句，是which指代前面整个句子的。而且本句也说的通，是“visitor touch exhibit",激发了function.
非常不理解，请高人指点！！
