Uh....no offense, but if you want to do engineering consulting, then MBA is not really what u need.
Assuming that you're focusing on the US market, to do engineering consulting, they care more about work experience, whether you are a licensed engineer (PE), project management experience, your portfolio etc. You're selling your service, and most importantly your knowledge and technical expertise.
MBA on the other hand, focus more on the human factor: organization, strategy, human resources etc. It doesn't give you much of that edge you need to be successful in the engineering consulting world. If you really insist on getting MBA, do it after your PE license. PE is worth much more than MBA. |
