If the terms of a sequence are t1, t2, t3, . . . , tn, what is the value of n ?

(1)  The sum of the n terms is 3,124.

(2)  The average (arithmetic mean) of the n terms is 4.

答案是选C，为什么？

1)=> 1+2+...+n=n(n+1)/2=3124=71*88 好像分解得不出n

2)=> sum of N terms = n(n+1)/2,  avg of n terms = n(n+1)/2/n=(n+1)/2 = 4 =>n=7

这样不是选B吗？ 请NN诊断。

题目没有说是consecutive 的自然数列吧

总和除以平均值等于项数

题目说t1,t2,t3......tn,n terms 应该是指自然数列吧?

楼主想太多了：）

其实题目就是告诉了一个数列（并不一定是等差数列）；然后
条件（1）n项的和
        （2）n项的平均数
这两个条件结合，自然就求出来n
