我已把正确答案带入。答案没问题，我想问的是that many had many 后是否应跟名词？那省略这个名词是什么语法现象呢?

那我又晕了，会不会说指代不清呢，OG上不是经常这么说吗，比如这道题many前的C

名词还有gains啊，虽然这道题歧义不是那么大

many就是指代前面的analysts，不存在省不省略的问题。
至于LZ担心的，指代不清问题，需要经验了，不是语法能解释得了的！

两个that：第一个that修饰confidence，第二个that修饰recession，many had feared，只能是人fear，不能是gain，所以不存在指代问题。因为后面有动作来区分逻辑意思。
