如果是former的， 与后面的主句说attend很多会议，明显矛盾啊，既然是前主席，

怎么参加会议嘛

可是不能當前主席18年        这个好像make sense !

 1）第一个问题已经讨论得比较清楚了，我觉得如果要正确表达former做了18年，

原句可以改写为

2）A,B,C的另一个问题是：former和attended冲突

既然是attended, 那么就是表示那时如何，既然是那时的行为，title就不是former
