Oliver Yang is the CSR and Government Relations Manager of the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai. Founded in 1915 and re-instated in 1987, AmCham Shanghai is the largest and most active AmCham in Asia. The Chamber represents around 3,900 members from 1,700 corporations and has grown at an average rate of 80 per month since 2005. The diverse membership includes over 150 Fortune 500 corporations, as well as a growing number of small and medium businesses. <!--[if !supportLineBreakNewLine]--> <!--[endif]-->
Mr. Yang leads Chamber’s robust Corporate Social Responsibility program. Trough initiatives in community outreach, environmental stewardship, employee health & safety, corporate governance, public healthcare, NGO capacity building, and public private partnership, AmCham Shanghai CSR program has been growing to be an effective platform for different stakeholders to communicate and collaborate. <!--[if !supportLineBreakNewLine]--> <!--[endif]-->
Mr. Yang works closely with local and central government, Chinese think-tanks and AmCham membership to smooth communication channels and cement the relations between government authority and U.S. business community through strategic and institutional approach. <!--[if !supportLineBreakNewLine]--> <!--[endif]-->
Mr. Yang has specialist expertise in the Information Technology sector. He had served as project manager at BP, Jardine Matheson and Shanghai Clinic Medical Center from 2000 to 2005. Mr. Yang holds Bachelor degree in Logistics from Shanghai Maritime University and Master Degree in Financial Management from Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School, Belgium.
