The correct answer is C.

My question is:

选C后逗号的作用:...;she has lived in England and Canada , and first came to the United States in 1961 to study at the Iowa Writers' Workshop.

这里加逗号是不是为了避免语法错误呢?　

如果不加逗号::...lived in England and Canada and (has) first came to the United States in 1961 to study at the Iowa Writers' Workshop.

会不会感觉好象省略了has而有语法错误呢?  has done...and has done...结构可以省略第二个has吗？

这里应该是前后时态不一样所以必须有逗号，前面是一般完成时，后面则是一般过去时。。因为有时间状语in 1961 ，后面只能用一般过去时

用逗号是为了在句子结构上与分号前面的句子平行吧

我的理解是这样，因为come 的过去分词是come ，题目中用的是过去式came，所以如果去掉逗号的话，第一是has lived和came时态不平行，其次即便可以省略后一个has，这样has came也是不成立的，因为过去式是come

我不理解勒first came前面怎么可能有个has呢...没见过哪有sb has...in 1961
