答案是A 。
我有些想不通这个答案，选项说其他的network news也有reduction的现象，可是并没有说他们是否也报道了controversial report，如果他们也报道了，那么说明report是原因，如果他们没有，说明report不是原因。

求NN指导！！！

但GMAT CR的脉络就在这，report on economy是此company的个人行为，这是作者的unspoken assumption。不能太用机械或者formal的逻辑思考（除了inference)，更多是生活常识，找相对关系。CR做多了就大概能猜出来。

也就是说 这个选项隐含一条件就是说 另一新闻机构（未播放争议新闻）也在同一时间有了reduction in viewership .?~
可是感觉其他cr题里 选项里会设置有类似这种的陷阱。

我觉得如果CR题做得足够多（IMO，OG足够了），然后配有仔细的思考，你会逐渐对正确答案和错误选项有感觉，这种感觉很难articulate，也不容易把它提炼成general rule，只有你跟OG混多了才会了解。

LZ，我们不讲感觉，我们来逐一看看几个选项吧。
1. 不知道其它电视台有没有放争议性节目，支持还是削弱不明，暂且搁置；
2. 抱怨的观众是主力人群，直接削弱，因为他们有可能因为节目不对胃口而不看这个电视台的节目，此选项出局无争议。
3. 电视台公布收视率下降的情形，这个是无关选项，电视台公布了什么内容以及他们在什么条件下公布都与本题的逻辑线索无关，此选型出局无争议。
4. 是否第一次播放争议性节目，也是无关选项，此选型出局无争议。
5. 大多观众依赖这个电视台的节目，无关选项，此选型出局无争议。

不知道LZ对哪个选项有不同的看法？

LS, 我觉得其实D选项也有道理：如果以前曾经有过争议报道，viewer人数不变，这就是典型的有因无果的削弱哇。不过前提viewer人数不变也被视为隐含assumption。

为什么在选项D中，我们就不能认为有一个unspoken assumption：之前也没有产生views下滑 呢？


A与D都需要unspoken assumptions的。

结论：不是controversial report这个原因，即收视率下降不是争议报道这个原因

注意这里的report意思是，向别人报告说他自己下降了，不是报告了controversial report

做题的思路 ：

1 与说收视率下降这个主题无关，排除B、E；
2 这不是第一次收到抱怨了，但没说以前抱怨后收视率上升还是下降了？无法判断支持还是反对；排除D
3 AC 都说了收视率下降这个事儿，
但是C说 ：只有收到抱怨才将他们的下降归因于报道；
但原文要强调的结论：不是这个controversial report原因；此项部分支持抱怨了就是report这个原因，反而weaken了结论
故排除C，只有A选项

A 选项确实比较难理解，主要是reported那个词特别隐晦，其实想表的意思是encountered了，估计大家才会选
A 选择的想表达意思是： 其他新闻机构也在同一个星期遭遇了收视率下降，
  imply了：其他机构也有没报道那个controversial report的啊，他也经历了收视率下降啊，怎么能说收视率下降就是因为controversial report啊

楼上谢谢你的解答，可是你还是没有明白我和楼上几位困惑的点：（我们都理解了A与D选项的意思，对report的理解也是正确的）


问题在于： A：“imply了：其他机构也有没报道那个controversial report的啊，他也经历了收视率下降啊”
                 D：“这不是第一次收到抱怨了，但没说以前抱怨后收视率上升还是下降了？无法判断支持还是反对；排除D”


                 可以清楚的看到’红色部分‘都是选项未直接说明的部分，那为何D你就认为“未说明”而A你就认为“未报道’呢？


这是我们最困惑的地方：因为如果对于D中我们假设之前的报道没有引起收视率变化，答案就可以是D。
