Round 1 (Early Decision)
The Early Decision Round is designed for applicants who have completed their research about MBA programs and have decided that Notre Dame is the school that fits their needs best.
Early Decision applications are reviewed before Round 2 applications. Early Decision also provides applicants with the certainty of learning their decisions before the end of October.
Early Decision candidates who are offered admission will have up to thirty (30) days to arrange their one-time, non-refundable deposit of $6,000 and will be expected to remove their applications from all other schools and refuse any future offers of admission from other schools. Applicants who are not prepared for this level of commitment are encouraged to apply in later rounds.
Round 2 Deadline
Applicants interested in being considered for the fellowships should complete their applications by November 1, 2010.
Applicants who submit a completed application by November 1st will have an admission decision by December 17, 2010. Round 2 applicants that are accepted will be required to submit two, non-refundable deposits of $1,000 in order to secure their seat in the incoming class.
Round 3 Deadline
All international candidates must apply by this date (January 10, 2011) to ensure adequate time for application review, financial aid, visa processing, and relocation.
Applicants who submit a completed application by January 10th will have an admission decision by February 25, 2011. Round 3 applicants that are accepted will be required to submit two, non-refundable deposits of $1,000 in order to secure their seat in the incoming class.
final one-year Deadline*
This is the final application deadline to be considered for the One-Year Class of 2012. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis for this final deadline and all decisions for the One Year Class of 2012 will be communicated by April 1, 2011. Applicants admitted during this round will have 60 days from the date of admission, or until April 29, 2011 (whichever comes first) to submit two, non-refundable deposits of $1,000.
final two-year Deadline*
This is the final application deadline to be considered for the Two-Year Class of 2013. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis for this final deadline and all decisions for the Two Year Class of 2013 will be communicated by May 6th, 2011. Applicants admitted during this round will have 60 days from the date of admission, or until June 6th, 2011 (whichever comes first) to submit two, non-refundable deposits of $1,000.
*Applications completed or received after these dates will be considered on a space available basis.

Essays
Essay I. What are your career plans immediately after graduation? Explain how your past experiences prepare you for your desired position. What are your long-term career aspirations?
Essay II. Additionally, please complete any one of the following six essay questions.
1.The MBA Values Statement is an important guide for our students and the bedrock of our shared community values. Please review the MBA Values Statement and then choose the one value you believe has had the most impact on your professional career to date. Be sure to give a specific example of how you have lived out that value in your professional experience.
2.What do you view as your greatest professional failure to this point? How do you feel that a Notre Dame MBA would change the outcome of a similar situation in the future?
3.How has trust played a role in your professional experience? Give a specific example of how trust, or a lack of trust, has impacted your professional experience.
4.Describe a time when you were given a project or assignment in an area that was not well defined or where you had little expertise. Please explain exactly what you did and what the result or outcome was.
5.What brand would you most like to manage? Why? How would you improve it?
6.Walter B. Wriston, the storied late CEO of Citibank, wrote a book titled 揜isk and Other Four Letter Words?in which he postulated that society's greatness is commensurate with its ability to take risk and, thus, to reward risk takers. Given the financial crisis of 2008-2009, do you feel that banks took on an acceptable or unacceptable level of risk? Why or why not? In either case, has the financial crisis changed your view of careers in finance? If so, how?
7.Mendoza Notre Dame Slide Presentation: Effective business communication is a central skill for managers and visual presentations are an important and frequent method of communication. Demonstrate your ability to clearly, concisely and persuasively communicate important information by telling us about yourself using a short slide presentation. |
