[求助]模考时的一道题：tend和can并列？

模考时遇到的一道题，想不明白，prep没找到，对照着软件手打出来

我选的是A，tend和remember对应
但是答案是D，怎么也不知道tends和什么并列
另外求 bother的用法，+to do?+doing?

researchers have discovered是插入语，省去不看，整个句子就是A scrub jay can remember when it cached a particular piece of food in a particular place and tends not to bother recovering a perishable treat . tends的主语还是A scrub jay

是这样吗？那什么时候区分该不该并列呢？

can 是情态动词, tend 是动词

不是can remember and can tend, 意思多别扭啊

仔细读2边，researchers have discovered是插入语
tend 和 can 修饰的都是a scrub jay,因此tend应该用单数，所以A错，B错
tend to do 所以E错
答案选D
