查了webster 和oxford，都说whereby 是关系副词，也就是=by which。发着个帖子只是为了确认whereby的用法，他可以做连词么？

这个题目好象也是在刘振民的语法书里看到过，大概的解释还记得。

１、你要看到do后面用的代词。如果是指代某一个具体的名词，可以用it来指代。如果是指代前面提到的一个动作，就不可以用it。而应该用so来指代。如：
　　He ate a chicken, so did I.
　　通过这一条就过滤出，只有E和D是可以用的。

２、whereby显然是多余的，就过滤出E了。

一般情况下，最好不要使用时态来过滤答案。如果一定要修改时态的话，要注意刘振民说的几点。
１）有明显的时间状语
２）未划线部分的提示
３）从句意上理解（此点比较难，小心使用）
