我在Longman 上找到一个句子,

这个题的确不是考的provide的用法, 而是support的用法,give/provide/offer

support for doing sth.

provide虽然没有找到for doing的用法,但也有类似的.比如

The Trust provides fact-sheets and support for anyone affected by

toxoplasmosis and educates health professionals.

今天去买火车票，排队时前有个老外；在后面听他叽叽咕咕打了半天的电话，本人英语也不算太好，但也听懂了个大概: 好像是在说他在浙江义务被人打了，现在想请上海的朋友去帮他忙.......呵呵，这老外人高马大的，说话满口都是F-u-c-k之流的词汇, 估计不被人打才怪！也不知道他到中国做什么的，穿件印了网址的大夹克，全白的夹克背后印了个大红大红的网址：www.kuuai.com  由于对这个人好奇所以记住了这个网址，等家后上网上查查他到底是做什么的。
可现在我搞了半天，这个网址打不开，超郁闷！难道是我这里网速的关系...???
