 D中的that按形式上就是就近指代mineral  of结构后面的关系代词也是就近指代的 除非关系代词后面的谓语动词单复数表示指代of前的n.

extract有名词形式extraction，不该用它的动名词extracting

D中的that定语不太对 as early as the eighteenth century是个状语 不能做mineral的定语

不过我还想问一下  如果that这样的引导词前面是一个of结构 那究竟that指的是of前

还是of后的呢？比如这个例子

which一般都是就近指代（ 除非后面有谓语动词单复数可以区别前面出现的名词）

D的 what it was a decade ago 罗嗦了（下降了将近3/4+时间状语a decade ago 简洁）
