我的理解是“that predicted...." 是修饰wisdom的， predict后面跟的是宾语从句， that 可以省略。。 predict 后面的句子是说 the processes of.....would gradually undermine it, it不是指modernization or rationalization , it是指 wisdom. 不懂分析对否，请指教。
