I know that it's been little bit late for this year's prospective Tuck MBA applicants, but just want to share with you my feeling.

It was in Shangrila Hotel on 13th Feb with Heather, a very nice and fast-speaking AdCom lady.

The atmosphere was as nice and casual as expected. And following are the questions asked:

1.                             1. Recent job responsibilities

2.                             2.  Tell me the reason why I chose my undergraduate major and school

3.                             3. How do I manage and how did I work in my previous project in an international team

4.                             4.  Why Tuck? What specific area and fields are you specially interested in?

5.                             5. Tell me something that is not listed in the application package and your resume

tuck interview tips

今天顶风冒雪在中国大饭店参加tuck的面试。同堂面试的好像还有牛津。面试官实在是和善，并且很会调动气氛。很容易交流。

面试的问题包括3w，团队经验，领导例子，职业目标和你的独特的地方。

题目不多，我和面试官闲扯了很多中国文化。比如饮食，艺术什么的，好像很对她的脾胃。面试大约50分钟。算是十分融洽，又一次体会tuck的文化，亲切，温暖。

我的感觉就是放松就能表现出激情和力度，但提醒一点，还是要组织好句子，因为面试官要记录的。

TUCK 面试归来

昨天下午和TUCK的INTERVIEWER进行了面试，问的都是常规问题，校友人也非常NICE，不断启发应如何回答问题。TUCK的温馨互助气氛即使在面试中也能有所感受，非常喜欢。

3. tell me about your teamwork experience

4. what's your leadership style?

5. your career goals.

6. Why did you choose Tuck?

大概这么多吧，有的记不住了。

感觉不好，讲的很磕巴。

被问了这些问题：

1.tell me about yourself

2.为什么选择这份工作

3。告诉我一个你怎么在team里工作的例子

4。WHY MBA, WHY TUCK

8。.还问了一个your achievements

都是很popular的问题。interviewer真的很nice，我回答的很差，她却不断仔细的追问我，估计听我的磕巴英文她也挺累的，呵呵。

近几天面的XDJM加油啊。

Tuck interview experiece

Interviewed with the Tuck admission this morning in Beijing . The lady is quite friendly and the questions are standard. Mostly I was talking about my
experiences which she was interested in. The interview lasted for 30 minutes. The questions are:

1. Your recent job responsibilities

2. Why MBA

3. Your short-term and long-term career goals

4. What your contribution to Tuck

5. Why Tuck

6. What questions do you have

After these questions were answered, 30 minutes passed. No leadership and team work was asked.

Tuck电话面试刚结束, 11月14日深夜。

我在办公室等到晚上10点, 对方是Tuck 二年级的女生, 时间20分钟。电话效果不太好，但感觉对方还是比较friendly的。终于将一所的申请过程走完了，没有什么把握，希望失望会五五开吧。祝后面参加面试的XDJM一切顺利，能选择face to face 尽量不要选电面，效果实在不好。God bless us! Amen.

1) Tell me about yourself

2)  Why MBA?

3) Why Tuck?

4) What will you do after MBA? Why go back to China?

5) What's your long-term goal? Are you sure to set up your own consulting company? When? Why?

8) What do you feel most difficult as a leader?

My part:

1) I noticed you are co-chair of Running for the kids event in Tuck. I also have some community service experience in China. Would you pls share me some experience and insight of this event?

3) Tell me something about recent Tuck Diversity Conference.

Tuck interview 经验

My interview experience with Tuck second year student:

He was very friendly and on the way to his office, we started talking about my working experience and the projects I have worked on.  After we sat down, we continued this topic and I gave him a bunch of funny stories and interesting experience about my projects.  Considering his real estate background, I explained my experience pretty well as I used few tech terms and he nodded with smile.  After we finished with those fun information exchange, he asked the following questions:

1. Go over your resume and talk about team experience you have

2. Did you have experience dealing with a touch/incooperative team member?

3. How did you motivate people?

4. What outdoor activities do you enjoy?

5. How I am going to deal with the current startup if into the MBA?

6. Q & A

I feel like Tuck emphasized a lot of team work but did not ask any leadership stories

Tuck interview的一点情况

周二在regent面试了tuck，然后一直感冒到现在。简单写一下面试情况，说不定以后大家有用。

面试大概45分钟，前20分钟聊了聊personal的东西，这中间针对一些东西问了一些细节以及问我对某些观点的看法。问题倒是都没准备过的，也没法准备。3年都没interview过了，有点紧张，说话越来越快。

后20分钟比较正常的问题：Career goals? why MBA? why tuck? contribution to tuck? 这中间也对某些点有进一步问题。忘了。反正大概这些。还问了很细的要参加是么club和要创建什么club。

后面问了他一些问题：主要问了问alumni在asia的情况，以及一些practical programs的情况。

去之前信心挺足的，面试的前20分钟感觉不是很好，紧张加都是些没准备过的问题。总体感觉不好。得好好准备马上就到的chicago和wharton了。

tip：建议大家话说得慢点，如果实在是紧张的话。

Tuck on compus interview分享

今天在大雨滂沱中来到Tuck做class visit及interview，有点惊讶这样的时候还有13个prospective students参加这个活动，或许今天是fall 2006最后一天的校园参观日吧。

Tuck的感觉就跟brochure里面看起来一样复古，地方不大但是非常精致，感觉上每个细节都经过精心维护的感觉，整体装潢令人感觉十分温暖舒适。

interview在参观过早上的统计课 (这种课果然是到哪里都令人想睡啊) 和中午跟现任学生吃饭聊天之后展开，面试官是二年级的学生，人非常和气 热情，他先很和气的问我这趟旅程怎么

样，对于Tuck的感觉如何，然后就先go through my resume, 针对其中两项事情要我说明得深入一点，然后问了：

1. 选择学校的条件是什么?

2. 如果他有三分钟跟AD的人描述我，我希望他说什么?

3. 除了工作及學業之外，最大的成就是什麼？

之后就开放问问题了。由于他是consultant背景，刚好跟我未来的career goal相同，所以我就针对这边问了与课程内容有关的问题，后来又问了关于job hunting时校友联系的情形。由于时间只有半小时所以面试官说很抱歉不能谈太多，面试就这样结束了。

我的感觉是Tuck的人真的很和善，面试起来一点也不会感到压力，但是还是要充分准备，虽然他今天问的问题都在我预料之中，但是事后想起来，因为紧张所以有一些东西没有讲到。

另外Tuck对于参访者会针对你的国家及种族安排相同的一年级学生一对一接待你，陪你上课跟午餐，相较其它学校，这样的安排实在非常贴心，让人可以充分认识学校。对Tuck有兴趣的人似乎都蛮符合这个program互助及和善的特质，已经面试完的人会跟其它准备面试的学生围成一圈讨论面试的情形以及tough questions, 最后离开时还会互相祝福期待有机会在明年秋天相见。从进去学校里面开始一直到离开都不断的有人对你微笑打招呼，令人印象十分深刻。

接下来essay就是我的功课了，看在我这么喜欢Tuck的份上，希望它也会喜欢我。
