这个解释就是说E中的they多余了或者说Heirloom tomatoes多余了，去掉grown from seeds saved during the previous year来看：Heirloom tomatoes although they appear less appetizing than most of their round and red supermarket cousins句子结构显然不完整~

我仔细翻译了一下，貌似LZ之前的理解也对。。。
OG的意思就是说如果把although放在后面，那么其后必须有they指代heirloom tomatoes,但这样使heirloom tomatoes多余了~
