我想请问分号是怎么使用?
因为manhattan上面说到semicolon的使用是connect two closely related statements.Both statements must be able to stand alone as independent sentences.

我想请问manhattan上说的independent sentences要怎么去理解。如果是这样这一题不应该是选D吗?

OG的解释是分号连接了几个不同的并列部分，每个部分之间的平行部分用逗号连接。以此来推断，分号也可连接并列成份，即使不是独立的句子...

我也做错了，看了OG的解释后我的理解是
分号可以用来连接两个句子，但这里用分号表3个成分的并列是因为每个成分内部还有小的并列已使用逗号隔开，所以只能用分号表示主句中并列的3个成分了
