I guess you need to get some relevant work experience while maintaining your current level of gpa. In terms of courses, maybe you need to take one programming one (e.g. C++) or show your competence in this through other ways. You have one year before application, which means chances to polish your profile (e.g. getting some work experience, approach professors or professionals in the industry for reference letters, etc) still exist.
