The advantageof OR/SC program
1. Course. The curriculum of OR/SCcomprises three components, business core, operations research core and supplychain courses. So our students are able to speak and understand the language ofbusiness as well as acquire analytical and supply chain management skills.Besides, graduates will get Six Sigma Green Belt Certification upon successfulcompletion of Six Sigma and Quality Management course.
课程。OR/SC的课程包括三方面，商业核心，运营学核心和供应链课程。因此我们的学生有能力使用、理解商业语言，并且得到分析以及供应链管理技巧。另外，当毕业生完成SixSigma和质量管理课程之后，他们将会得到SixSigma绿带证书。
2. Reputation. CWRU ranks 37thaccording to Best University 2013 and Weatherhead School of Management ranks 57th.Weatherhead has the first operation department in the US.
学校名望。根据Best University 2013，CWRU排名全美大学第37位，天气头商学院排名全美第57位。另外这里有全美第一所运营学研究所。
3. Career. Weatherhead students areencouraged to connect with the CareerManagement Office early on intheir academic program to gain the most from the resources and servicesavailable. Some of their services include: resume reviews, mock interviews,workshops and Employer Information Sessions and networking event with employersand alumni. It has a project, Coffee Connection, that build a bridge betweenstudents and alumni, leading to a better understanding of professional worldand more horizontal vision.
Our alumni are throughout the UnitedStates. Students are able to connect with Weatherhead alumni through all kindsof the alumni events or via the group in LinkedIn.
Cleveland is the biggest city of Ohio.It has factories, distribution centers and headquarters of many big companies,such as Philips and Nestle. In this area there are two hospital, ClevelandClinic and university hospital. Also, many mid-size companies have offices herewhich provide potential working opportunities, both internship and full-timejob, to graduates from Weatherhead.
职业生涯规划。在进入项目之后，天气头的学生就可以与职业生涯管理办公室联系，得到很多有用的资源与服务。其中包括，简历评估与修改，模拟面试，提高各方面能力的研讨会和介绍雇主信息的会议以及与雇主、校友建立人际关系的社交活动。另外有一个项目，名字叫CoffeeConnection，可以让学生和校友之间建立起联系，让学生更了解职场，拓宽视野。
我们的校友遍布全美。学生有很多机会与天气头校友交流，包括了各种校友活动以及LinkedIn的校友圈。
Cleveland是Ohio最大的城市，也是美国东部非常重要的工业重镇。这里有许多大公司的工厂、配送中心以及总部，比如Philips和Nestle。这个地区有两家大型医院，Cleveland Clinic和CWRU校医院。另外，很多中型企业都在这里开设办公室，这提供了很多潜在的工作机会给天气头的毕业生，包括实习工作和全职工作。
4. Scholarship. Our program providesscholarships to the most outstanding students. Every year, there are as many ashalf of the students sponsored with scholarship, the amount varied from 15% to50% of the tuition.
奖学金制度。OR/ SC项目为优秀学生提供了丰富的奖学金，这一点是很多其他项目无法做到的。每一届都会有一半的同学获得奖学金，奖学金数额是学费的15%—50%不等。
5. Class Diversity. The diversity of ourstudent body enriches the Weatherhead experience with different perspectives.In addition to Dynamic Weatherhead Women in Business and the MulticulturalBusiness Student Association, student groups that support diversity includelocal chapters of the National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA) and the NationalSociety of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA).
班级组成多样性。OR/ SC项目的学生来自世界各地，这一届除了美国本地学生和中国学生，还有来自泰国、越南、沙特阿拉伯的同学。大家的经历也不一样，有本科毕业之后直接继续深造的，也有工作多年重归校园的。项目有一些课程是同MBA分享同一资源，为学生提供更多社交机会。
6. Social Life. Weatherhead holds variousclubs that broaden students’ social lives. The active Graduate Business Student Association (GBSA) along with these clubs provideopportunities for professional development, local community service activities,engagement with employers and social gatherings such as cultural dinners, happyhours and wine tastings with sommeliers. Operation club, most related to ourprogram, provides many opportunities to work on different practical projectsfor companies.
课余生活。天气头里有许多的社团，大大丰富了学生的课余生活。GBSA与各式各样的社团为学生们提供了融入这个城市、与人交际的机会。例如，operationsclub是与我们这个项目相关的新社团，由2012级毕业生创立。社团基于真正的公司项目，使成员能够真正参与到公司的项目中去，体验公司是如何优化其供应链的。WeatherheadWomen in Business也会定期举办活动，邀请一些校友，为社团成员提供了拓展人脉的机会。 |
