结构上是不是就不对呢，那个is怎么看都别扭，也不符合parallelism.
of 引导的介词结构也让the same as 这个比较结构的比较对象变得很奇怪，勉强认同是将GB和land area 相比吧
2、这里所说there be 句型是wordy的，感觉一般there be 句型在gmat里都是错的

1，C 选项，你提到了"总结中说“contrast的对象错误，不符合句意”我觉得比较对象不都是land area么，为什么错误" , 我只能说，你把OG关于 B选项的解释看成了C选项的。C选项的错误不是对比对象问题，而是many of them 的指代问题。

2，你这样理解我觉得是可以的，我也是这样理解这个错误的。

3，的确听说过代词不能指代介词后的名词的死规定，不过我认为要视情况来看，这不绝对。

4，but可做连词，副词，代词，所以不一定必须跟句子，比如这个：Not that I don’t want to go, but that I have no time.

LZ你好，我看OG这道题目解释的时候也很纠结：1. 怎么确定是land are of LAOS和land area of GB之间在比较，而不是land area of LAOS和GB之间在比较？
2. C选项中‘many of them’错误的地方难道不是'many of them'前面应该加一个and吗？
3. E选项中but a population of only...跟在 a land area后面很奇怪，连在一起不就是：Laos has a land area a population of only four million people, many of whom...了吗？这样看不是很奇怪吗？

1、land area表示面积，面积不能和GB相比，应该和GB的面积相比
2、ddairy没有看清句子结构，but引出另一个从句，many of them是主语
3、E改的话应该是laos has a large land area but a small population of only 4 million pl(增添了一些词是为了表达出句子的意思)
