thus在这里做代词，指代this way指代的同样的东西，就是diamond

而in this way能不能这么用我就不知道了.....remains in diamond,应该

也行吧？这个要请NN出来了

altough是转折连词，表示heat/pressure在之后肯定被拿走的情况下

而even when同时表达出了heat/pressure被remove和不被remove两种情况下

的结果，更尊重原文A表达的意思，这个要细细读几遍去体会。

thus应该是作副词，表示“如此”的意思~~我找了一圈，也没看到thus可以作代词·~~

remains in this way会让人产生carbon一直处于 "changes into the substance commonly referred to as diamond "这样的动态的过程中，而不是diamond这种物质静态中。后面的让步状语从句更加强了这种感觉。而even when是带有让步语气的时间状语从句，比较倾向于表达静态的意思。
