In LZM's book, the right answer is C. In offical guild, the right anwer is B because 1) the pronoun is needed to illustrate to keep what from being stolen, 2) if using "to avoid" or " to keep from", the speaker gives an impression that sth, the stuff, is to avoid itself being stolen.



我认为如果选b的话，那么it指代的就是chalice，那么不定式的主语应该是buried动作的发出者，it是不是就和chalice重复了，那么应该选a就对了阿？

就是需要一个it，指的就是chalice。LZM的书里这个答案有误，应该选B
