但我觉得应该是A.因为都是表达 作某事来达到某目的。so as to是更简练的。
我不明白。有没有人帮我解答一下。

D may be more accurate to express the fact that the King finally made it possible to marry Anne rather than a simple purpose. "COULD" is "qing tai dong ci" here?

根据我做错无数次的惨痛经验，如果有SO THAT的选项在，SO AS TO一定错。而且，SO AS TO 不符合ETS的理念，一不够CONCISE--不如直接用TO，二不够CLEAR--不如SO THAT能够讲明白事情。

Personally speaking, "so that" can express more complex and concise meanings, i.e. agree with summer##### to some extent, have to use this kind of "rule" with caution, though.
