没有通知的电话面试

请教一下,刚才下午2.30,周六突然收到University of British Columbia的电话,打到我家里,跟我进行了简单的据她称为"confirm your application info".我之前未收到任何面试通知.所以此次电话表现极其糟糕,最后对面的Lady说会在一二周内通知我.不知道什么意思?另外我们的下午两点应该是他们的晚上10点了,难道他们周末加班? 谁能告诉我这个电话到底算不算面试?

我现在想要不要给他们发个EMAIL问问,不过那个lady倒没说这是面试.虽然问的问题不简单,诸如:为什么选他们学校,能从他们学校学到什么,为什么选加拿大的学校,简单工作经历,英语的使用频度等等.

i sent email to them and got reply soon. I was told that UBC never have any formal telephone interview, they would only call the applicant to confirm some information, never give any formal telephone interview.
anyway, thanks a lot for all ur advice. i will wait and see, god bless me.

i checked my status online in UBC, and found Admission Denied. i guess mainly due to the bad performance of that sudden call. Anyway, all the applicants later should be more cautious to those unexpected call.
