I noticed your reply before and your emphasis on the last sentence, but

I could persuade myself to regard D as the answer.  Because, I don't

understand why "It would be foolish to continue parroting Freud’s

psychological theories as if these advances had never occurred" would

lead to reexamination of Freud's psychological theories...
