做题的时候我毫不犹豫的选了D,但是OG的解释是被动语态awkward
D awkwardly and illogically shifts to the passive voice: certain characteristics should be acquired by their steers;)

被动语态的确不够好，问题是E选项完全不符合平行并列结构
请教大家，希望能讨论出一个合理解释。另外，我想知道这道题的答案有没有推广价值？
