有一个题目是：

The commission acknowledged that(no amount of money or staff members) can ensure safty of peopl.............

c.neither vast amounts of money nor numbers of staff members
d.neither vast amounts of money nor a large staff

答案d.解释为考察or 或 neither nor 在形式和内容上的平行一致，表示很多的钱和很多的人。但是为什么不选c.在我看来c.似乎更对称。

请大家帮忙解答一下。谢谢^_^

很多人一般用a large staff,而不用numbers of staff members,平行原则不仅要考虑结构相似,也要考虑习惯用法.

同意joy JJ的解释，staff/audience这些集合名词，表示许多的...的时候，都是用的
a large staff/audience.
这并不违背平行原则，这个原则不是要求word for word 对称。
