THAT指带的就是它a coolness of judgment and mutability of purpose 上面的帖子在复制时少了东西。题目应该将两者在内涵上作为一统一的东西考虑，所以后面用a。因此，我还是认为选B。

1, but应该不会表转折地去连接非限定性which 从句和限定性that从句。
2, zeal 和 coolness 都能与单数was 对应。

i think that the words "that" ,"which" seem to refer to the same " a coolness ......",why not choose A?

Both that and which refer to the same thing。you are right。

I am confused. Why "a coolness of judgement and mutability of purpose" is a plaural?
