此题中的more是形容词practical的比较级,修饰后面的名词items.
此处并无对等的比较对象,何用Than?

the "than" is indicated but not used directly in this problem. The customers tend to purchase items that are more practical than those novelty gifts which are often cheaply made.

Can you say the sentence below is wrong? No "than" in it

--Which plan would you choose? A or B?
--Of course plan B! It's more practical, you know~
