Only A agree with the modifier "common". The use of "black-footed ferrets are thought to have declined in number" is acceptable here concerning the subject "ferrets", right? The use of "in number" is similiar to that of "in height", "in weight", etc.

as when is not a fixed use here. as is used as prep. and means "like". This kind of use is rare, but accept it

平行原则？ YES! By "partly" in the latter part of this sentence, A and B are ruled out. C and D are ruled out by logic, the steers can't acquire certain characteristics, right? E is the key since "breeders" is the subject and the source of the action of "to acuquire"(ruling out by logic is a useful tool in SC, use it!) Remember, don't be fooled by parallelism, it doesn't mean 100% alike. For instance, v.+ed and v.+ing can modify the same entity parallelly as long as they make sense

GMAT 4 P73 15 and 17
It's about the "v. + to do".They mean "purpose" here in the two phrases: "create ...to ..." and "return to Maryland to guide ". That "TO DO STH." means "do sth. for the purpose of..." is quite common, right?

GMAT 6 P109
the groups still perceive this problem now, right? This action is not finished and still exist, so "perceive" is the most reasonable one.
