A normal
B is normal
C was normal
D they normally are
E they are normally

the answer is B, why not A ??

confused too, what's the difference?

是不是选项a有跟自身比较的嫌疑,而此处是跟average insect (normal insect)比,为避免歧义?

It seems you are taller today than normal.
==>It seems you are taller today than you normally are.
对吗?

A grasshopper is larger than (the insect)is normal...
有点牵强的说,真搞

一般来将,系动词的补出使句子意思更加清晰。
在本题目中,不补出,则意思有可能是在grasshopper中,特别大个的一个。补出了,就明确了normal member of insect class
