标题: 比较级后的省略？ [打印本页]

Last year, land values in most parts of the pinelands rose almost as fast as, and in some parts even faster than, those outside the pinelands.

句子是对的。

两点疑惑：

１）　既然主句是 values rose, 那么than后是不是该用　those did. did 为什么可以省略？

２）　than 后可以用　they did 吗？

我语法不好，胡说一下：
1）a as ... as b，b不是应该是个名词么？对应value，干啥要did啊？
2）我隐约记得说they是不对，不能用来指代，但是具体的说得啥意思我给忘了。。。。。。。。。

(1)in "as...as..." structure, the verbs of the second clause can be, but not necessarily, omitted. it makes sense either way!

(2) THEY cannot be substituted for those in this case.

1) 即使从as .. as 的角度，好象也是并列优先。
A runs as fast as B
A runs as fast as B does　（a litle better?)

2) 用they是不好，就是说不上为什么
