1.这道题我也胡涂了
感觉上more应该是名词，如果比较双方要对称的话，应该用动名词
偶乱说的：P，哪位知道的指点一下啦

2.我觉得这儿不是说出现句子结构不对，省略was不会影响句子意思的表达，又比较简洁
另外more ancient的表达要比older好，我记得GMAT中有一题开头是The ancient n. ....

do表强调语气的话都是紧跟在谓语动词的前面，就像你觉得例子
我觉得这句话中的do还是个实义动词

译为:不尽尽是概括了现存的研究成果，还….(类似表达如:A historical novel may do more than mirror history; it may even influence future events.在toefl出现过)而do more than…要记为一习惯的表达方式吗?? OR USED AS AN EMPHASIS?

既然这样的话，我觉得可能就是一个对称的问题，mirror和do相对应
把它记为习惯表达法吧

Exactly. Agree tongxun.如果把more than summary 去掉，或把does more than 去掉，看的就清楚些了．
